Mempasem,in 1971. He was raised in that village by his grandfather, Harun Yusuf.
Sheikh Khalid began learning the Holy Quran in the same village and successfully
completed it.
After completing his Quranic studies, he joined his father, Abdul Aziz bin Harun, in the
capital, Accra Madina precisely, there,Shaikh enrolled in the Institute of Islamic
Studies, known as( Islamic Research),where he studied from Middle level to secondary
level.
Sheikh Khalid's father worked as a driver for the African Muslim Committee, currently
called Direct Aid, under the management of the late Sheikh Zakaria Nawawi. May Allah
have mercy on him and grant him His vast mercy.
Sheikh Khalid's father loved this charitable work very much, so he would ask the manager
to provide him with some used clothes that came to them from Kuwait to distribute to the
people of his village. Because of his extensive charitable work for the villagers, they
nicknamed him Aziz Shukran.
The father encouraged his sons to engage in this charitable work, especially Sheikh
Khalid, as he was the most knowledgeable among them in Islamic law. In 1995, Sheikh
Khalid began this charitable endeavor, establishing his foundation and naming it after
his father, who was its cornerstone:
( the Abdul Aziz charitable and Humanitarian Foundation).
Sheikh Khalid and his brothers began asking people for donations of used clothes and
shoes to distribute to the poor, the needy, orphans, and those in need.
They would clean them, put them in containers, and deliver them to neighboring villages
for distribution.
In 1998, Sheikh Khalid was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship through the mission
of His Excellency Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Babtain from the State of Kuwait to pursue his
university studies at Al-Azhar University in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Sheikh Khalid
entrusted his two brothers with managing the affairs of the institution until he
returned to his homeland after completing his studies.
Before leaving for Al-Azhar University to continue his studies, Sheikh Khalid entrusted
the management of the institution to his two brothers:
1- Mr.Aremiah Abdul Aziz Haroun
2- Mr.Rashid Abdul Aziz Haroun Upon his return from Al-Azhar, he registered the
institution with the government in 2000.
The Sheikh then began sending requests for assistance to various associations and
companies both within and outside Ghana.
He requested some assistance from them, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan,
such as rice, sugar, and anything else that would benefit the poor, the needy, orphans,
widows, and others in need. Distinguished guests, in 2016, Allah also granted Sheikh a
scholarship from Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia,
